Tatapani Shravan Month Festival

After the Makar Sankranti Mela in Makar Sankranti festival in Tatapani, which is identified by the hot water source, there will be a gathering of Shiva devotees even during the month of Sawan. Religious devotees will offer water to Shivalinga and Huge Shankar Idol built by the District Administration located in the temple. Collector Sanjeev Kumar Jha has given necessary instructions to the officials regarding organizing the Tatapani Sawan Festival. For the first time in the month of Shravan, the Tatapani Savan Festival is being organized. Keeping in mind the facilities of devotees coming from Balrampur and Ramanujganj on the initiative of Collector, arrangements have also been made for snacks at different places.

Every year, devotees perform Jalabhishek to Shiva located in Shivgiri temple at Tatapani with water from the Chanan river of Balrampur in Shravan month. On this four Monday of the month of Shravan, devotees will perform Jalabhishek of Shiva in village Tatapani by taking water from Kanwar river from Mahamaya Ghat of Kunhar river located in Ramanujganj.
